Today, during general session, members of Wolasi Jirgah requested Taliban to announce ceasefire with Afghan government so that existing dirty killing of brothers get an end and a peace road map could be a reality. They welcomed the ongoing peace dialogue between Taliban and America and they hoped it may be a positive step towards an end to long lasting war in Afghanistan.

They also requested Taliban to make ceasefire as a good gesture and to start interim Afghan dialogue for a fruitful peace deal. This request of Wolasi Jirgah is quite in line to the statement of President Trump who had expressed to American troops during his recently sudden trip to Bagram, Afghanistan. Mr. Trump was hopeful about the peace talks and he expressed to his troops that a ceasefire will be conducted during the new round of peace talks at Doha.

At the same time, Taliban repeated their loyalty to the previous agreement in which ceasefire with Americans was existing; but the ceasefire with Afghan side will be discussed separately as soon as the Interim Afghan dialogue is started.
